Advantages of Marraige in Islam

A couple is able to fully give love and devotion to each other, raise healthy children who are fully secure in having both a loving father and mother

Marriage is an exclusive right given to human beings. Yet, mating would include all species—including even the plant kingdom.

Traditional Family vs. Single Parents:
Yet, in Islam, the highest honor is given to those who honor their Creator; who plan their lives and direct their desires toward the permissible channels in order to gain both worldly pleasure as well as fulfilling their roles as obedient servants of God.With no guilt on the conscience, a couple is able to fully give love and devotion to each other, raise healthy children who are fully secure in having both loving father and mother on their sides while they are growing up. What a blessing!

One is not discarded like a used book in the trash once an undesirable situation or a serious sickness strikes him.

One should take note about the huge percentage of children in the West born out of wedlock, living with only one parent, and in some cases never get to see the other parent for years or for life. Until recent years when DNA testing identified the real father, many men refused any responsibility as a father, blaming the mother for having slept with too many men.

The insecurity a woman feels when she is unmarried and keeps changing mate and wonders which one will stay with her and for how long, is a miserable life no one desires, but it seems to have become the norm in the West.

Is Allah Really Merciful?

Published October 9, 2012 by AbdulJabarAzimi

Assalam alaikum warahmatulahe wa barakatuh,

Answer:

We highly appreciate your interest in knowing much about God’s mercy.

The Prophet Muhammad (salla’Allahu ‘alaihi wasalam) said,
‘Allah divided mercy into a hundred parts and He kept back ninety-nine parts with Himself and left one part on the earth.
It is from this part that creatures show mercy to one another so that an animal lifts its hoof from its young fearing to hurt them.'”

{Riyad as-Salihin, Abu Hurayra}

Muslims believe that God (Allah) has certain Names and Attributes in which they must have firm belief. Two of these Names and Attributes are the Beneficent (ar-Rahman) and the Merciful (ar-Rahim). These two attributes are much used in many Quranic verses.

Muslims are always reminded of these two names. They recite them seventeen times in their daily prayers. When God hears His Names recited by His servant He responds: “My servant has extolled Me.” (Muslim)

God’s first mercy is shown to mankind by sending prophets and messengers to guide people to His path. God’s mercy is reflected in revealing scriptures which have laws and regulations to govern human relations.

Muslims believe that committing mistakes and sins is a human propensity. Islam also teaches that the door of repentance is always open. So when a Muslim commits a sin, he is sure that – if he gives up this sin and offers a sincere repentance to God – God, out of His mercy, forgives his sins. Not only that, but his sins will be turned into good deeds. Out of God’s mercy, punishment is not to be inflicted immediately, but sinners are given a chance to turn to Him and ask for His forgiveness.

In Islam, all sins are to be forgiven by God – even if they are repeated – except associating partners with Him. (An-Nisaa 4:48, 116)

Marriage and divorce are very intricate issues in Islam. These issues should be studied thoroughly from Quran Education know and understand the technicalities involved. Marriage is an institution in Islam, which holds a great importance. We can only learn the importance of marriage through Quran learning.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said,’ A person who posses the means to marry (i.e. he is able to work etc. to support a wife and children) and does not marry then he is not from amongst us (i.e. the believers).’

In another Hadith it is clearly mentioned that marriage…
